Homeowner’s FAQs
How does Community Funding Solutions work?
CFS has created an innovative process in which any real estate transaction can now be leveraged as a charitable opportunity. In other words, at no cost to homebuyers, owners, or sellers, people can direct a percentage of their real estate agent’s commission to the charity of their choice when they decide to buy or sell their homes.
Does this program cost me anything?
No. A portion of the real estate agent’s commission will be donated to the school or non-profit organization of your choice upon the purchase or sale of your home.
Can I designate any non-profit organization as a beneficiary?
Yes. Simply choose an organization listed on the website, or you may nominate an organization that CFS will be verified and be added.
How does the agreement between the CFS real estate agent and homeowner get recorded?
When a homeowner signs on at info@communityfundingsolutions.com,
a notification email will be sent to the homeowner confirming the details.
Does the real estate agent help choose the beneficiary?
No, the homeowner determines where the donation is sent as long as the organization has been verified by CFS.
How can I help an agent get involved with CFS?
Jamie & Bennett are agents and the co-founders. There are already 20 top Real Estate Professionals who are part of the CFS Network. All CFS Network agents give 18% to 25% of their commissions. Jamie & Bennett always give 25%.
How do I find a participating agent/broker if I want to participate?
E-mail us at info@communityfundingsolutions.com.
How do I know that CFS will donate to the organization of my choice?
The agreement (CDA) to your escrow instructions will ensure that your donation is received. You will receive confirmation of the transaction and a personal thanks.
Why would a real estate agent choose to participate in this program?
As a partner of the CFS Network, real estate agents benefit by building their business with genuine interest in the welfare of their communities. By serving these communities well, referrals follow.
I like the idea but I am never going to buy or sell, so why should I support it?
The people who stay in the community are going to benefit the most. Those who are buying and selling now are supporting the quality of your community through their donations, so it behooves everyone as citizens of their communities to support the program and support their chosen beneficiary.
Is there any legal obligation once I agree to participate?
No, this is a voluntary program and we are counting on everyone to honor his/her intention to support it.
Will this program increase the value of my home?
It will protect the value of your home and may increase it. After all, the better the quality of life within a community, through good schools or other public
services, the more demand there is to live there, sustaining home values and possibly even raising them.
